Buying guide

What size marble fireplace do I need?

The right marble fireplace size is the one that suits the wall, ceiling height, chimney breast or flat wall, fire route and hearth together. Start with photos and rough measurements of the whole room, then make the surround to measure rather than choosing a fixed size from a catalogue.

Common questions

Does a marble fireplace have to be a standard size?

No. Our fireplaces are made to measure in our own Midlands workshop, so the surround can be planned around your room.

What should I measure first?

Start with the wall or chimney breast, the opening if there is one, the ceiling height and the space around the room.

Can a fireplace go on a flat wall?

Yes, especially with an electric fire, but the proportions need to be planned differently from a chimney breast.

Do you confirm measurements before making?

Yes. Rough measurements and photos help the first conversation, but final details are checked before anything is made.

Need a second pair of eyes?

Send photos and rough measurements, or bring them into the showroom. We will help you judge the proportions.
