Custom Limestone Fireplace and Gas Stove in Birmingham

The brief

The customer visited our showroom hoping to find a matching material to repair their damaged fireplace. As they were unsure of the original stone, they decided to replace the entire surround and update the fire at the same time. Initially considering an electric fire, they opted for a Wildfire Ravel 400C gas stove instead, wanting a higher heat output to help warm their particularly cold room.

Made to measure

The customer chose our Waldon limestone fireplace to complement their new gas stove. We arranged for our gas fitter to carry out a home survey, checking the existing gas connection and taking accurate measurements for the new fire surround. With the customer needing everything installed by the middle of October, we worked to a tight schedule to ensure the fireplace could be manufactured and fitted in time.

The finish

What started as a search for a replacement piece of stone became a complete fireplace transformation. The Waldon limestone surround provides a timeless setting for the Ravel 400C gas stove, combining traditional styling with the practical benefit of additional warmth.
