Marble Fireplace and Gas Fire in Solihull

The brief

The customers initially visited our Earlswood showroom looking for a new gas fire to replace their existing cast iron fireplace and give the room a more modern look. As we didn’t have any gas fires on display at Earlswood, we invited them to visit our factory showroom, where they quickly settled on the Wildfire Ravel gas fire. To complete the transformation, they chose our Sierra fireplace in Blanco Micro marble, with contrasting black granite panel slips surrounding the fire.

Made to measure

Before proceeding, we arranged for our gas fitter to carry out a home survey to determine which size Ravel gas fire could be accommodated without disturbing the structural brickwork of the chimney breast. Once the survey was complete, the customers returned to our showroom to finalise their order. We went through the fireplace dimensions together, making adjustments to balance the proportions of the black granite slips around the chosen fire and achieve the look they wanted.

The finish

The new Sierra fireplace in Blanco Micro marble has completely refreshed the room, replacing the original cast iron fireplace with a cleaner, more contemporary design. The contrasting black granite slips frame the Wildfire Ravel gas fire beautifully, creating a balanced focal point that combines modern styling with the warmth and practicality of a gas fire.
