A Bespoke Marble Fireplace in Henley-in-Arden

The Brief

Our customer in Henley-in-Arden was looking for something very specific — a low-profile fireplace with a three-sided electric fire that would create a contemporary focal point without taking over the room.

We discussed a number of different designs and options with the customer before they chose a version of our Tucson fireplace, finished in Arctic Ice micro marble, paired with the Flavel Proflame 1000 electric fire.

The combination of the low-profile surround and three-sided fire creates a clean, architectural look, allowing the flames to become the main feature.

Made to Measure

Once the design was agreed, we manufactured the Tucson fireplace in our Birmingham workshop and made a number of bespoke adjustments specifically for this installation.

The depth of the top shelf was carefully matched to the depth of the hearth, creating a consistent and balanced profile from top to bottom.

We also adjusted the fireplace dimensions to accommodate the Flavel Proflame 1000, ensuring the fire sat neatly within the surround and that the overall proportions remained balanced.

It’s these small details that make a bespoke fireplace feel right in the finished room.

The Finish

The completed fireplace creates a striking contemporary feature while maintaining a beautifully clean and uncluttered appearance.

The Arctic Ice micro marble provides a crisp, sophisticated finish, while the three-sided Flavel fire gives the fireplace depth and allows the flames to be enjoyed from multiple angles.

Installed against the flat wall, the finished design delivers the impact of a statement fireplace without the need for a traditional chimney breast or major structural alterations.

The result is a modern, understated fireplace designed around the room rather than the room being designed around the fireplace.
