A Bespoke Limestone Fireplace in Solihull

The Brief

Jennie from A House to Dream In approached us to create a bespoke fireplace for a client in Solihull.

After visiting our showroom to discuss the project and the client’s requirements, Jennie took away our brochures and measurements to explore the available options with her clients.

They ultimately selected our Kelso fireplace, handcrafted in beautiful Antalya Turkish Limestone, paired with the Celsi DLX 600XT electric fire.

The aim was to create a fireplace that would feel substantial and luxurious within the room, while retaining the clean proportions and timeless simplicity of the Kelso design.

Bespoke to the Room

As the fireplace was being installed against a flat wall, the standard dimensions needed to be carefully adapted to accommodate the Celsi DLX 600XT.

We increased the depth of the fireplace while maintaining the carefully considered proportions of the surround.

This attention to detail is an important part of what we do. Rather than simply selecting a standard fireplace, the dimensions can be tailored around the room, the fire and the overall look being created.

Every measurement was considered to ensure the finished fireplace felt balanced and purposeful within the space.

Crafted in Natural Limestone

The choice of Antalya Turkish Limestone gives the fireplace its distinctive character.

The natural stone has a warm, understated appearance that works beautifully alongside the contemporary design of the Celsi electric fire. Its subtle variation and natural texture add depth to the room, while the simple lines of the Kelso surround keep the overall look refined and elegant.

The result is a fireplace that feels both timeless and contemporary — designed to become a feature of the room rather than simply an addition to it.

The Finished Project

The completed fireplace provides a striking focal point against the flat wall, bringing together natural stone craftsmanship and modern electric fire technology.

By adapting the Kelso design specifically for this installation, we were able to achieve the desired proportions while accommodating the fire within the fireplace itself.

The finished result is a bespoke limestone fireplace designed around the room, made to measure and crafted in our Birmingham workshop.
